The whole time I was creating this piece, I was afraid that people were going to read too much into it. I did this piece sometime in April/March 2020, right around the time COVID-19 started becoming a big deal. People started to lose their jobs because of the virus. I didn’t want this particular artwork to look like it’s meant to reflect the current situation.
The artwork started from a sketch I made of the rolling chair I have in my room. I added “techy” spikes to my chair sketch. I thought the sketch looked too cool, so I had to make a proper illustration out of it.
