This week feels like it went by in slow motion. I spent a great deal of my art time working on my Lundahl study. I’ve progressed quite far only to find myself backed in a corner. I started texturing the face in the hopes of giving me clarity about the face’s likeness. That attempt failed, and I thought I could just move on and keep things as is… apparently not. So at the moment, I am at a crossroads. Take a loss out of the perfection angle and keep my art project simple, or take the high road, lose a lot of time, and fix a few things that aren’t quite right about my artwork… decisions decisions decisions…
In the meantime, I took a few moments to work on this week’s cover page. “Tea” is obviously based on a much quicker speed paint “Tea House.” I really tried my best to keep the speed paint under five hours… but I went over budget by an hour. The end result is obviously better than the original… but whether I’m still in love with it a year later we’ll have to see. Aside from those two main artworks, I was on the grind on my regular stuff… speed paints galore with a few sketches and studies. I did finish one acrylic painting though. I feel really meh about that particular project. Hopefully, the next acrylic project would be better.
Anyways, that is it for me this week folks. Good night.
