It’s been a while since the last time I had to depend on an image as the main basis of my artwork. I have been doing 3D renders for quite some time now to help give me a prototype of the scene I want to recreate. The last time I remember using a photograph/artwork was when I did my Ayang fan art and did a photo study of my nephews. Everything else has been based on my own 3D mockups… oh I take it back… I recently did an Uncharted fan art as well.
Anyways… my main point in this conversation is that this weekend’s speed paint was based on a photograph by Nico Becker. It was a refreshing exercise. “The Country Estate’s Guests” is originally based on a DSP prompt “Country Estate.” Of course, I have to throw in a narrative aspect to the original imagery because that is how I roll… that is my jam. So the image ends up having a sci-fi aspect to it. The image itself isn’t quite as strong as my Ayang fan art… but it definitely has its own charm.
As for the rest of this week’s shenanigans… I love love “Sinigang.” It was a one-hour speed paint for a sketch zone prompt. I wonder how it could have turned out if I had spent some more time on it. “Storm Legion” is interesting as well. I was thinking of taking that one up as my speed paint for this weekend… but obviously, I went with “Country Estate.”
Anyways… that is all for me this week. I will see you guys next time. Enjoy my latest;daily spit paint daily spit paint group sketchbook sketchbook sunday sketchbook update sketches speed paint speed painting speed paints Sketchbook Update
I don't like ads. I don't think anyone likes ads. But they do play a pivotal role in our lives. In my case, ads help pay the bills. So unfortunately, advertisements will go here. The good news is that I have not set up advertisements for this website yet. Yay! But if you do want to help me out in the smallest of ways, then head over to my YouTube Channel and subscribe. Not only will you be helping me out, you will also learn a thing or two about my art! Hooray for learning!
