I’m not really sure what is going on this week. All my DSP’s are backlit. I’m not sure if this is a new creative direction I’m going towards to… Logically I’m not interested in it. Sticking to one lighting scheme is very limiting… subconsciously though I’m not sure. I’ll have to see where my brain takes me next week.
This weekend’s speed paint was dedicated to “Monkey Goddess.” I was supposed to work on other speed paints that I have set up previously… but when I read the prompt for the next Sketch Zone art challenge, I felt the urge to change direction. My work is a very loose interpretation of the prompt. I’m pretty sure the idea behind the challenge was to emulate the look of the classic Monkey King… but I just couldn’t get myself to do that vibe. I felt genuinely cheeky about interpreting the prompt… hence the illustration I came up with.
As for my grinds… I’m uber confused right now with my Lundahl study. It’s kind of depressing how that is going… but the other grinds are going well. I have taken a lot of time working on a water color pencil portrait. I was supposed to have it done for Mother’s Day weekend, but of course, I am late… oops.
Anyways, that is all for me this week folks… Sayonara!
