I’m excited about some of my decisions about moving forward with some artworks this week. I have been doing a Lundahl study for the past year. I’m not quite sure if I have posted any WIPS of that particular artwork. But the past few months had been rough with the project simply because I couldn’t decided on how to move forward with it. I finally went gung-ho and made a decision about what I’m going to do. Here’s to hoping my decision brings a speedy result.
As for my short grinds these week;
Nothing was particularly exciting about any of these pieces. “Electric Rain” was a redo of an earlier speed paint. I had envisioned the longer speed paint to be something else entirely. Don’t get me wrong… the final result is still pretty good, but I was hoping for something stunning. I think I honestly wanted more lightnings… but composition wise it wouldn’t have worked since the piece would look ridiculously busy. The end result of the longer speed paint is ok.
On a totally unrelated art note… I wonder how a 1,000 year old wine would taste like. I know scientist had hypothesized that the Speyer wine bottle, currently the oldest wine in existence at 1,600 years old, probably won’t taste good. But they hypothesized that this is the case because of the way it was manufactured. I wonder how a modern wine aged to a 1,000 years would taste like. This is all I could think about when I was drawing “Preserved (Aged) for 1,000 Years.”
Anyhoo! See ya!
