I can’t believe this year is more than halfway through. In less than a few months, we would be closing on another grand year of art-making. I do wish I have more time to do artwork… and even more importantly, more time to learn new tips and tricks in art-making, more time to make progress in some of my other art genres, and more time to understand what the masters did in the past. As time goes on and my skills move forward, I start to feel more of a noob. But I guess that is what this journey is really all about. Anyways… this week’s updates;
I had another speed paint I was supposed to work on this weekend. But those plans got derailed in favor of experimenting with 3D. Sadly, all my 3D efforts last night didn’t really go anywhere…. hence I settled on doing a more hasty speed paint that turned out better than I expected for the amount of time I spent on it. “7-31-2021 Robot” was the 3D sculpt I was trying to finish… I am definitely better at speed painting than speed sculpting… and that is totally fine with me. “Red Rock Creek” and “Wild Horse” feel like they can be great subjects for longer grinds. They are definitely tagged for artworks to be developed.
Anyways, you guys have a great week!
