So typically on weekends, I do a longer speed paint… but I have decided to forego that venture in favor of wrapping up a few art projects that had been on a WIP state for a while now…
The best example of a WIP that needs wrapping up is “Nothing to Wear.” I mentioned a few weeks back that I’m almost done/is done with it. After thinking that it was finished, crits came in that made so much sense that I just absolutely have to execute the changes. I am, for sure, calling this last WIP final. If I don’t, then I will be stuck in production hell, lol. I’m also in the middle of doing a few acrylic portraits. I really shouldn’t be posting these images on social media since they are supposed to be for presents… but I’m horrible at surprises. So yeah… surprise!
I’m going in a totally different direction with my Amelie Lundahl study. Initially, I was thinking of finishing the sculpt first, but I think I’ll be texturing the face instead. I could get a good idea of the likeness of the girl if I texture first. The current WIP of the Lundahl study shows that I’m in the middle of retopology. Once done with retopology, I’ll begin texturing. I’m also done with redoing the 3D layout for my next grind “Temple Waterfall.” I should start the sketch phase soon of that illustration.
Anyways… that is all for my grinds this week. The rest of the gallery is obviously my sketches and speed paints of the week. I wish I have a longer speed paint to show, but I guess we’ll have to do that later. I hope you guys are having a great weekend!
