I decided to continue my practice from last week and let go of all major grinds for this week. I didn’t work on any of my longer projects at all. The majority of my attention went to finishing an entry for this month’s Character Design Challenge. There was a particular photo of a blue whale that I got fixated on, and I used it heavily as a reference. That photo made the rendering of the speed paint “Brochale” very easy.
I absolutely love my entry. All my entries to the CDChallenge had been predominantly speed paints. “Brochale” is, by far, the best speed paint I have done so far for the competition. I think it’s a very well-balanced piece.
As for the rest of my shenanigans this week, there’s really nothing much to make note of. “Fitting Punishment” trended heavily in the DSP group. It got 170+ likes. It’s nothing compared to my most heavily liked entries, but it’s still three times my average. All the rest of my art sketches went fine this week.
Anyways, that’s it for me folks! I shall catch you again soon!
