I didn’t expect to enter the CD Challenge this month… but lo and behold here I am adding to my already-way-too-full-over-the-brim-plate. So yes… behold the interesting dish I whipped up for the CD Challenge this month, “Cholita Adventurer;”
“Cholita Adventurer” is this month’s CD Challenge theme. My interpretation of the prompt is a very liberal interpretation of the theme. Honestly, if I take away the Aguayo and the hat, there would be nothing about the character that would indicate she is a Cholita Linda. But I really wanted to push the interpretation of the word “adventurer,” hence why I decided on a more esoteric role that most women don’t do; the role of an astronaut/test pilot. Having the Aguayo and the hat are the only way I could indicate her native origin. I have to give myself kudos for making her look Latin American. At least that aspect of the prompt I passed. Whether I pass or not in the rest of my interpretation of the prompt, we shall see in the next few days.
As for the rest of my grinds… they are at a complete standstill. I have directed all my artistic energies in doing a bunch of traditional artwork, so I might not be able to work on my favorite art projects for a week or two. I’m sure after the Christmas season my schedule would be a little easier.
Anyways, that is it for me folks. Have a great Sunday!
