Sketchbook Sunday 3.27.2021

March 28, 2021

I absolutely love this week. I found myself with a tiny bit more free time since my classes are now over, and the end result was me being able to do a few more drawings and paintings. It wasn’t a whole lot, but I am grateful for the few that I got nonetheless. Hopefully in the next following months I can get caught up with personal projects that I had fallen behind on. With that being said… this week’s shenanigans;

“Dropped Flashlight” trended very well in DSP this week. It’s been awhile since I hit the 100 likes mark, and I did with this quirky illustration. This particular sketch trending also made me realize that none of my digital paintings have ever reached the 100 likes mark. It kind of makes me feel a little bummy since digital painting is my favorite medium… but then in the end, popularity really isn’t what I’m after. What I’m truly after is the daily practice. Just having that daily practice of a sketch is awesome. Not only that, but I use these sketches as a springboard for further ideas. Such as the case with the prompt “Forgotten God.”

“Forgotten God” was the prompt from last Monday. I love the prompt so much I did two different versions. When I did the second painting, I realize that it has a huge potential for a better illustration. I spent a great deal of my weekend pursuing the idea further. I am absolutely happy with the result;

    I don't like ads. I don't think anyone likes ads. But they do play a pivotal role in our lives. In my case, ads help pay the bills. So unfortunately, advertisements will go here. The good news is that I have not set up advertisements for this website yet. Yay! But if you do want to help me out in the smallest of ways, then head over to my YouTube Channel and subscribe. Not only will you be helping me out, you will also learn a thing or two about my art! Hooray for learning!
