I made progress in my two illustrations that I’m slowly grinding on. “The Guardian” is giving me trouble;
Even though I cleaned up the background tremendously, it still looks too busy, unfortunately. Part of me feels I really need to simplify the background more, but I don’t want to have to go back to the original state of the background because the original was too bare. Another part of me thinks that I need to detail so that the background can read better, while another part of me is afraid that I might accidentally too over detail, adding to the “busy-ness” look of the background. And then another part of me wants to throw all the parts of me that are debating outside the window… Seriously I just have to run with the flow on this one and see where it ends. Whatever complications that happen, I can always find a solution.
As for the “The Royal Baby;”
I’m changing the title of this piece to “Ang Dalaga and the Royal Baby.” I’ll explain why in a sec. I’m currently working on the background of the image right now. As soon as I’m finished with it, I’m going to work on the girl’s outfit. I’m going to dress her up in a “Maria Clara” gown. A “Maria Clara” gown is what old-school “dalagas” used to wear back in the Philippines, hence why I’m changing the title.
And then there’s these motley crew;
Sayonara boys and gals.
