This week’s throwback takes us back to an artwork from last year;
This is by no means a good looking digital sculpt. In all honesty, it’s not all that great. But what I love best about it is the circumstances surrounding my process of this gem. I haven’t done a digital sculpt in about a year or two before I did this work. Out of nowhere, I felt the compulsion to sculpt, and when I did, everything fell into place nicely.
Artwork is tricky like that, you can plan all you want… but it can still end up looking like garbage. But then out of nowhere you do artwork on a whim, and bam, it’s gold! Yah know? This is how it felt like when I was sculpting this. I have been out of practice for so long I’m amazed I pulled off the sculpt in such a short amount of time. What can I say… I was inspired. It must be the date of when I did it… lol.
Anyways… may I hope all your artwork be as golden as this one!
