The DevianART group “Master Studies and More” held a “The Frame You Never Saw” challenge. The idea behind the challenge is to take a painting done by a master and repaint the scene depicted. The repaint should display either what happened before the original, or after the original. For the challenge I decided to do Van Gogh’s “Starry Night.”
I honestly thought I was being clever when I chose the idea, but it turns out I wasn’t actually the first one to paint a similar theme. Art by Moser did a similar painting; https://youtu.be/1Vp0lvlqAvY At the time that I started it, I truly thought it was original. Regardless, it’s immensely lovely to see the two different interpretations of a “Van Gogh Sunny Day.”

Artists mentioned in the video; Vincent Van Gogh, Theodoros Ralli, Claude Manet, Ro5ert, Ana2Mars, Art by Moser
