Van Gogh’s “Sunny Day”

August 9, 2020

The DevianART group “Master Studies and More” held a “The Frame You Never Saw” challenge. The idea behind the challenge is to take a painting done by a master and repaint the scene depicted. The repaint should display either what happened before the original, or after the original. For the challenge I decided to do Van Gogh’s “Starry Night.”

I honestly thought I was being clever when I chose the idea, but it turns out I wasn’t actually the first one to paint a similar theme. Art by Moser did a similar painting; At the time that I started it, I truly thought it was original. Regardless, it’s immensely lovely to see the two different interpretations of a “Van Gogh Sunny Day.”

Narrated timelapse video can be seen at;

Artists mentioned in the video; Vincent Van Gogh, Theodoros Ralli, Claude Manet, Ro5ert, Ana2Mars, Art by Moser

  • Advertisements Go Here

    I don't like ads. I don't think anyone likes ads. But they do play a pivotal role in our lives. In my case, ads help pay the bills. So unfortunately, advertisements will go here. The good news is that I have not set up advertisements for this website yet. Yay! But if you do want to help me out in the smallest of ways, then head over to my YouTube Channel and subscribe. Not only will you be helping me out, you will also learn a thing or two about my art! Hooray for learning!
